Smells can also come from standing water such as mop buckets, rarely used appliances and after a blockage has already cleared. Running fresh hot water down pipes can often remove the causes of odour.

Are there any blockages? Try to clear them with a plunger.

Unscrewing the traps under the sink and ensuring they are free from matter is a resolution in many instances.
